Project Description
The 'My Place' project challenges the conventional corporate aesthetic. Designed for a Chief Executive, the goal was to create an environment that fosters deep focus and absolute calm amidst high-stakes decision-making. We traded cold glass and steel for tactile, grounding materials. Hand-troweled plaster walls absorb the light beautifully, while the dark, horizontal lines of the Venetian blinds allow for precise control over the room's mood. It is an office that commands respect not through intimidation, but through quiet, unwavering presence.
Furniture & Styling
The Monolith Executive Desk: The undeniable anchor of the room. Crafted from thick slabs of reclaimed, deeply grained oak, this desk features massive block legs and a generous workspace. It brings a sense of ancient permanence to the modern workday.
The "Saddle" Executive Chair: Balancing the raw wood is a clean, mid-century inspired desk chair upholstered in warm, saddle-brown leather. It provides ergonomic support while maintaining the room's organic color palette.
The Linear Credenza System: Running along the perimeter, these dark, stained-wood storage units offer extensive utility without visual clutter. They feature a seamless, handle-less design that allows the natural wood grain to act as the primary visual texture.

Material & Texture Palette
Walls & Architecture: Monochromatic, warm-taupe lime wash plaster applied seamlessly across the walls, ceiling, and built-in arched alcoves.
Flooring: Smooth, poured microcement layered with a thick, tightly woven natural jute rug to define the primary workspace.
Wood & Leather: A high-contrast mix of raw, light-toned architectural elements (like the stairs) against the heavy, dark-stained timber of the office furniture and rich brown leathers.
Metals & Accents: Matte black fixtures, including the sleek, ultra-thin architectural desk lamp, the minimalist stair railing, and the dark Venetian window blinds.
